These terms apply to all visitors and users of the service.
BikeCostCalc provides:
You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape, mirror, reproduce or redistribute our data without prior written permission.
Most of the site is browsable without an account. An account is required only for: writing reviews, replying on review threads, syncing your wishlist across devices, and (optionally) attaching your name to photo submissions.
Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Where local law sets a higher minimum, that age applies. For users between 13 and 18, parental consent is your responsibility per local jurisdiction.
Account security: You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at security@bikecostcalculator.com. We are not liable for losses caused by your failure to safeguard your credentials.
One account per person: You may not register multiple accounts to bypass rate limits, photo-submission caps, or content-moderation actions.
Honest information: You agree to provide accurate, current information at sign-up and to keep it updated.
You can submit three kinds of content on BikeCostCalc: bike photos (via the public gallery on each bike's page), reviews and replies (signed-in users only), and blog comments. By submitting any of these, you agree to the following terms.
4.1 Ownership warranty. You confirm that you own the rights to the content you submit, OR you have explicit permission from the rights holder to share it on a public website. You will not submit content that infringes anyone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
4.2 Licence grant. By submitting content, you grant BikeCostCalc a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt (resize/crop for layout), and distribute your submission on the BikeCostCalc website and in BikeCostCalc social-media or marketing materials that promote the website. This licence lasts as long as your content remains on the site. You retain full copyright in your content; this licence does not transfer ownership.
4.3 Attribution for photos. Approved photo submissions are displayed publicly with the credit name you provided. If you supplied an optional social-media link, your credit name becomes a clickable link to that profile. You can request removal of your photo (or the link) at any time using the email in Section 13.
4.4 Moderation. All photo submissions, reviews and comments are subject to admin review. We may approve, reject, edit lightly for clarity, or remove any submission at our sole discretion — including (without limitation) submissions that are off-topic, low quality, defamatory, infringing, sexually explicit, hateful, or that promote illegal activity. Rejection decisions are final and we are not obliged to provide a reason.
4.5 Per-bike caps and per-person limits. To keep galleries useful, we enforce a per-bike cap on approved user photos and a one-photo-per-person-per-bike rule (detected by email or IP). These limits may be tightened or relaxed without notice.
4.6 No compensation. Photo, review and comment submissions are made voluntarily and without payment. You are not entitled to any compensation if your submission drives traffic, conversions, or any commercial benefit to BikeCostCalc.
4.7 Removal on request. You may request removal of any of your submitted content at any time. We will action removal requests within 7 business days. Note: rejected photo submissions have their image file deleted from disk immediately at moderation time; only the audit metadata is retained for up to 90 days.

We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of bike prices, specifications and ownership cost data on BikeCostCalc. However:
Our calculators (EMI, affordability, ownership cost, insurance, used-bike valuation, etc.) are provided as general financial planning tools. They are not financial advice.
The results from our calculators are estimates based on the inputs you provide and general assumptions. They should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any financial decision. Consult a qualified financial advisor or bank for personalised loan, insurance and finance advice.
BikeCostCalc is not a bank, NBFC, insurance company or financial services provider. We do not originate loans, process payments or handle any financial transactions on your behalf.
BikeCostCalc operates on a small set of revenue streams to keep the site free for visitors. Where these are active, the page in question makes the relationship visible.
Display advertising (Google AdSense). When the AdSense feature is enabled, we serve programmatic ads supplied by Google. Ad placements are clearly bordered and labelled as "Advertisement" or "Sponsored". We do not control which specific advertisers Google selects for any given pageview. You can manage your ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings.
Affiliate links. Some outbound links to third parties (insurance providers, used-bike marketplaces, finance partners, etc.) are affiliate links — meaning if you click through and complete a transaction with that partner, BikeCostCalc may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. This commission has no influence on which bikes or partners we recommend; rankings and editorial content are produced independently.
Dealer-quote and loan-application leads. If the dealer-quote or bike-loan features are enabled, your submitted contact details (with your consent at the form) are forwarded to dealers / lender partners so they can respond directly. We do not sell or rent these leads to unrelated third parties.
What we do not do: We do not accept payment from manufacturers in exchange for ranking a bike higher. We do not hide negative reviews. We do not allow advertisers to influence editorial content. Our calculator outputs are deterministic — same input, same output, regardless of who pays us.
If a feature on this page is monetised in a way that's not obvious to you, please tell us — we'll either make the disclosure clearer or remove the feature.
Our content. All original content on BikeCostCalc — articles, guides, calculator logic, layouts, design, the BikeCostCalc brand, and any aggregations or analyses we produce — is owned by BikeCostCalc and protected by applicable copyright and trade-mark law.
Third-party content. Bike names, brand names, and manufacturer logos belong to their respective owners. BikeCostCalc has no affiliation with any bike manufacturer or dealer unless explicitly stated.
User-submitted content. You retain copyright in any photos, reviews or comments you submit. You grant BikeCostCalc the licence described in Section 04 to display them on the site with attribution.
You may share links to pages on BikeCostCalc freely. You may not reproduce, copy or redistribute our content (including scraped data) without prior written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BikeCostCalc shall not be liable for:
Your use of this site is at your own risk. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Termination by you. You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@bikecostcalculator.com. Your account, wishlist, reviews, replies and photo submissions will be removed within 7 business days, subject to retention requirements set out in our Privacy Policy.
Termination by us. We may suspend or terminate your account, and remove any content you have submitted, without prior notice, if we determine in good faith that you have violated these terms — particularly the Prohibited Activities in Section 05 or the Ownership Warranty in Section 04. Where the violation is minor or appears unintentional, we will normally try to contact you first.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, intellectual property, indemnification, and governing law — will survive any termination.
We may update these terms periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were most recently made. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
For material changes (new monetization streams, new categories of user-submitted content, changes to the licence grant, changes to the governing law clause), we will display a notice on the homepage and email registered users at the address on their account.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of this service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of West Bengal, India.
